Version 6.6.1

Version 6.6.1

And here is version 6.6.1! A more polished release that is not without future anticipated updates, but has the merit of being stable, functional, and much better suited for desktop use.

On the agenda, we first have the following fixes:

  • Date and time wheels finally work with scrolling on Windows. A bug had prevented proper scrolling.
  • On iPhone and iPad, the clickable area of the wheel was slightly narrowed on the sides, making it difficult to easily click the Vernal Point A.
  • The little alarm clock ⏰ on the theme creation page would automatically reset the city to Paris, even if another default city was set. This is now fixed!
  • The Cusp 🏹 mode has been corrected to work properly with the Black Moon &, the Vertex \, the Local Meridian , the Local Ascendant , the Progressed Meridian | and the Progressed Ascendant ¢.
  • For Windows users, the software now uses the Documents/Odysseus folder to save themes. If you already have themes saved elsewhere, just drag them into this folder and they will appear in the software. If you’d prefer an extra subfolder, e.g. Documents/Odysseus/Themes, let me know and I’ll add it in the next update.

Then, some refinements:

  • When displaying the Progressed Meridian | on the wheel, it is essential to have the Sun N and the Midheaven < visible, as they are part of the calculation. If they weren’t displayed, the Progressed Meridian | could not appear. Now, as soon as the Progressed Meridian | is displayed, the Sun N and the Midheaven < are automatically shown.
  • Similarly, displaying the Progressed Meridian | is automatically triggered if you want to display the Progressed Ascendant ¢, since it is necessary for its calculation.
  • The “Theme of the Day” 📆 functions of the Event 🎉 window have been disabled in synastry, as they are not applicable there.
  • The proportions of the connectors linking planets to the wheels were adjusted for a more harmonious visual effect.
  • The 360º wheel was visually simplified to make it more pleasing.
  • The appearance of the buttons in the House Table 🏠 has been improved, and a button linking directly to the Houses section of the Codex has been added.

And finally, the new features:

  • A “jump to next House” ➰ function allows planets in the House Table 🏠 to appear in the next House if they are within Xº of the cusp. This Xº can, of course, be set in the Settings Panel ⚙️.
  • Also in the House Table 🏠, it is now possible with the 🧭 and ⏱️ buttons to replace the Midheaven < and Ascendant > with the pair Progressed Meridian | / Progressed Ascendant ¢ or Local Meridian / Local Ascendant for House distribution. This makes it possible to view Houses for a specific place or day!
  • In the Aspectarian (long click on 📐), clicking on planets (or hovering on desktop) shows whether aspects are Applying or Separating. Useful to know whether the aspect is strengthening or waning.
  • Finally, the screen size and layout have been completely redesigned for desktop use. We now have a horizontal view instead of vertical, which is a real delight!
