New Moon Chart

New Moon Chart

In two days there will be a New Moon. I show you how to see this with Odysseus®.

On the Map/Chart page, leave the date as it appears that day, do not pay anything. This will settle itself later. On the other hand, adjust the city and the country according to what interests you. As I live in France, I am interested in the fate of my country, so I put Paris, the capital, in the city’s box.

Then I click on the small telescope 🔭, and off we go!

Once you are sure of the wheel, you see the sky for the date of the moment (the one that was mentioned on the previous screen). To display the New Moon (or any other moon), here’s how to do it. At the bottom of the screen are two rows of 5 buttons.

On the first line, the very first button on the left with the symbol 🎉. By clicking on it, the window dedicated to Events opens.

Moons, just like Solar Ingress or Eclipses, are heavenly events. So, in the new window, click on the crescent moon button 🌙

The list of moons then appears. At the top is a wheel to adjust the year of which you want to see the moons. Below is the list with, on the left, the type of mooning (🌑 : New Moon, 🌓 : First Quarter, 🌕 : Full Moon, 🌗 : Last Quarter), in the center the date, and on the right the time in T.U. (Universal Time), so a time that will be modified according to the country and city and that you have entered on the first screen.

You then notice that a line is highlighted: this is the next moon to come. Here, we can clearly see that the next is the New Moon from 21/09/2025 at 19:54 (so 21:54 for France) because at the time I write these lines, we are 19/09/2025. But if you look at the list past the date of September 21, it will no longer be this line that will be highlighted. All you have to do is click on the line that interests you; the window closes and offers you:

Indeed, you can either load the event directly on level 1 / natal, or set it for the transit level (level 3, which will adjust the directions/level 2 on the same date). If you are analyzing a theme and want to add the moon on top, then click on Direct/Transit. But if you just want the theme of the mooning alone, then click on Natal.

And then you have your theme!

Good reading!
